about

Utopia is a song about hope for a better future, a time when the world could become a much better place. The inspiration behind the song was the dedication that my eldest brother Tony has for his son Liam, who has Down syndrome. The selfless dedication and love Tony displays for Liam just inspired me to write the lyrics to this song, and having already written the music, I needed the right words to justify the mood of the song.

lyrics

I'd walk that extra mile
If only for a while
I could see the sun light up your smile
Gone is my vanity
Here is your dignity
If only I could somehow set you free
I'd take away all these fears
I'd take away all these tears
I'd walk on broken glass
Through deserts I would pass
To see you walk your broken feet on grass
I'd take away all this pain
wont walk away I'll remain
I'd walk that extra mile
If only for a while
I could see the sun light up your smile
All I know is when I hold you in my arms
you fill up my heart like nobody else can do
nobody else but you, only you, you, only you
Utopia I love you.
